Do "Beef-Eaters" grow?

I took a bet with someone who tells me that the "beef-eater" guards hat that the British royal guards wear, grows. She tells me that the hair grows like human hair. Help me prove her wrong, please.

Not sure what you mean by 'grows'. The busbys (hats worn by the Guards) are made of fur. At least, they originally were made of fur. I read somewhere that today the busby's are made from synthetic fur.

Do "Beef-Eaters" grow?

Sure, it grows older every day. As for growing like human hair, no, only that chia pet thing can do that.

Do "Beef-Eaters" grow?

Of course not! You tell her that hair only grows when it is still biologically attached to your head or host. When it comes of, the hair stops growing. The guards閳?hats is not physically attached to their head, it閳ユ獨 just on top of their heads, wearing it. I guess she said that because she hasn閳ユ獩 seen a guard took off their 閳ユ笁airy hats閳? I wonder--why is their hats tall and hairy?
