Do these hair products really work?

If anyone has used Sun in and/or Mane %26amp; Tail [for horses] on human hair? Does it work.

:] Thanks.

Sun in makes it lighter,

And Mane %26amp; Tail makes it longer.. supposedly. Thanks.

My cousin used the main and tail stuff we actually kind of did it as a joke, but yes after about 3 weeks her hair was way longer, it started at her shoulders and was down her back in about 1month

By the way, if that is you in your photo, you're gorgeous.

i used it years ago, works just like any other.

Sun In makes your hair orange!!!!!

They're not for horses, they just have a horse on the bottle for some weird reason...

Sun In will make it lighter, but only use it if you are a natural blond and want to go lighter, otherwise it turns it orange.

Sun in will make your hair orange, typically. I'd stay far away. As far as other hair products are concerned, there is an awesome site where regular women review every possible hair product/makeup product/nail product out there and I would check there under User Reviews for Mane and Tail. Looks like to me that they have pretty good reviews, check out the links below:

I have used sun in, it's horible. I think it's just like using lemons, or tea useless! I used hydrogen peroxide when I was 13 and it just made my hair lighter b/c i did a 50/50 souloution with water.

Mane and tail was originaly used for horses but they found that it worked well for people so they packaged it for poeple

Sun in is a decent product. My mother uses that and it works well. It makes her natural blonde hair look ever better.

I wound not trust Tali though. Makes your hair longer? Sounds like a gimmick to me.

idk but u r hot!, email me at cartmansnumber1fan@yahoo.com

Sun in DOES make your hair lighter....and Mane %26amp; Tail does make your hair shiny and feel great! I have used both. Sun in won't make you a blonde from brunette, but will lighten your hair a bit.

I hear sun-in works. I have never tried either.. definately not the mane and tail.. wasn't that on blades of glory? haha.

I know this (from a recent friend who came down with non-hodkins lymphoma cancer) that if you keep bleaching your hair the chemicals will soak thru your scalp to your blood stream and doctors are saying it can cause cancer.

Here is the article:

Hair Dye Linked to Blood Cancer

Long-Term Use of Bleach/Permanent Dye May Raise Lymphoma Risk

By Daniel J. DeNoon

WebMD Medical NewsJan. 26, 2004 -- Long-term use of permanent hair dye -- doubles a person's risk of certain blood cancers, new research shows.

Earlier studies have linked permanent hair dyes/bleach to bladder cancer as well as to the group of diseases known as non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma rates are up all over the world. Nobody knows why, says Yale researcher Tongzhang Zheng, ScD.

Sun in, uses the sun to naturally lighten your hair, be careful though you can end up with a huge light spot in one area! Follow the directions carefully. Mane %26amp; Tail is a good conditioner, but I wouldn't say it's the best...

try to understand that u cant count on ppl that dont even know the type of hair u have to tell u what works, and doesnt. ur hair may be different from another person. so if Mane %26amp; Tail [for horses] work on one girl, it may not work on u. so i suggest that u talk to a hair stylist. now they can tell u what will work for ur hair. and its best to buy products at salons, or places where hair stylist shop because the ones u find at grocery stores, are old, counterfeit, or tampered with. which is why u'll see that its more "expensive" ( by a few dollars) at a salon than if u buy at a pharmacy.
