i find that they go ratty really easy to put conditioner on them and leave them over night and wash it off in the morning and they like new, also try to blowdry them stright instead of using streightners if you can help it. xx

Yes use a serum, your salon should stock it. Can you wash your extensions? If so you should use a mild shampoo baby shampoo. is good. And your not really supposed to blow dry them to often this can make them look tatty. Good luck.

Not reall, brush them from ends to root with a paddle brush and store them flat. Alternatively buy a spray from Sallys to spray on them.

hahaaa you may not like this, but i'm a stylist that believes in going with what you have....natural beauty, so my natural answer is, "don't get extensions."

they are pretty, but they feed society the "ideal" of what is beautiful and what is not. be a leader and redefine beauty for those around you as well as yourself.

you own hair has got to be gorgeous. i have curly hair, and society has been trying to make me straighten it for years, but i will not do it. lot's of people love my hair, and my hair is not damaged in the least..i don't even blowdry it and it is pretty! i just put some product in it, scrunch my curls in gently in coils from end to scalp, let it air dry....

there is also a confidence that comes from within when you discover or flaunt your natural beauty. it sounds strange coming from a hairdresser..when one is in cosmetology school (at least in the days i went, and the school i went to..it was excellent..) they require you to have your hair *styled* and your makeup *on*.

it is very likely that there is a shift going on..even professionals in the salon are often skipping makeup these days, focusing on skin care instead..for example. people have seen enough fake man-made things (think of breasts lol) that they are wanting to see a woman's natural beauty. think about it...it even eliminates the "you look like crap in the morning without your makeup.." "you look style-less when your hair isn't fixed right"...i say, be a leader and help that shift. women are pretty, even when they think they aren't. the only way they aren't is is they're ugly inside.

people who set trends walk their own walk.

...and that would be my suggestion for a client asking me this question in my chair. ;-)

try a little surem on straighten them before you put them in, this seperates the hair an stops them sticking together and messing up - also carry a little brush around with you - just brush from the middle to the ends every hour.
