Is anyone else creeped out by extensions?

Every time I go to Sally's, I see many different hair extensions of human hair. I find this slightly disturbing. Hair extensions usually end up looking fake and rather ludicrous anyway. Why would anyone want them? If you want longer hair, grow it out that way. Otherwise, just be happy with what you have.

Is anyone else creeped out by extensions?

it is disturbing.

Is anyone else creeped out by extensions?

Yes I am. They look absolutely disgusting in someone's hair and out of it. The morbid side of me wonders if the real ones were taken from dead people. {shiver}

I wasn't creeped out before........until I saw Britney Spears' latest do........ewwwwwww!

I think that if you really want to grow it fast it can work. But I would prefer sythentic because the real stuff would really make me uncomfortable having someone else's hair glued to my head.

I agreee! Hair extentions creep me out to! They dont usally look good unless there done by a proffestional anyway!

i like them it's a quick way to get longer hair without waiting since the average human's hair only grows a quarter of an inch every month. that's only 3 inches a year.

I think the cheap ones look funny, but the nice ones that celebrities get I can't even tell if they are fake or not. Some people aren't as fortunate as you to just grow their hair out. Their hair could be too thin or spotty to look nice without fake hair. I wouldn't worry about it too much, people have the right to decorate themselves as they please.

I must have very fast growing hair. My hair grows WAY more than 3 inches a year. It' like 6 for me. lol

And hair extension don't creep me out...

But I really don't like them. They're ugly, in my opinion.

i hate it when girls with thick hair have extensions in and tie there hair bak because you have this thick ponytail and dead thin extensions

also hate it when the colours dont match your colour

three people that have excellent extensions are kimora lee simmons, nicole from pussycat dolls, and jessica simpson, their extensions match to a 'T', this is what u want yours to look like, yes its very expensive and there are so many techniques, like fusion, glue in, clip-ins, and a sew-in, but make sure u educate yourself first, b/c a lot of stylist are simply out there to get money, and people get them due to versatility, convenience, and some peoples hair simply wont grow

Is anyone else creeped out by extensions?

Yes. They are nasty. If a girl is so desperate to look like what the media portrays as beautiful, she needs help. women should learn to love what they were born with, instead of imitating what they see on tv.

In my opinion, I have just to opposite view of them, but, I have had the opportunity to make a few older ladies, who didn't want long hair, they just wanted hair that you see through, and even a couple of cancer patients going through radiation treatments that made their hair very fine and thin. I was the one who gave them extensions, some had never heard of them. But losing hair can be life altering for ladies. Most men wouldn't care if they went bald. So, helping a person feel better about themselves is in no way creepy to me. The hair is not taken from the dead or any other morbid ways. Hair companies buy virgin human hair they process it by color and length. The same hair is sold to wig companies for both ladies and men's hairpieces. Yes, you have the right to voice your opinion of extensions. I think I have a broader view than most.
